At age 13, your teen will start talking with Dr. Moemeka alone. According to Texas state law, at this age your child is afforded doctor-patient confidentiality. This means that, unless your child is in immediate danger or at risk of hurting someone else, nothing that your child shares with Dr. Moemeka can be shared with you without your teen’s consent.
